The Triscamp 3-cylinder miniature radial engine was designed and built by Robert Washburn, Washington, circa 1990. Mr. Washburn designed and fabricated eight of these tiny 3-cylinder, 2-cycle, methanol-burning radial engines by gearing together three individual engines into one housing. Lubrication is provided by castor oil mixed with the fuel.

Robert and Frances Washburn published Strictly IC magazine from 1987 until 2001. At the time it was the only publication devoted to the design, development, machining and construction of miniature internal combustion engines. The Joe Martin Foundation recognized the Washburn’s with a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007.
