These two scale model boiler feed pumps were built by the 1999 Craftsman of the Year winner, Wilhelm “Bill” Huxhold from West Hills, Ontario, Canada. Bill’s miniature pumps are based on some boiler feed pumps circa 1885. Each master machinist has a style that can typically be recognized by the finish of their final product. The finishes and details of this piece are typical of Mr. Huxhold’s work. An experienced machinist familiar with Bill’s work could easily pick this piece out of a lineup just by looking at it.
