This unfinished 1/4 scale Offenhauser 270 4-cylinder racing engine is being built by Pamela Weiss. The scale engine was originally designed by Ron Colonna. This Offy is coming along with most of the machining on the block and head completed, as well as the pistons, rods, sleeves, cam drive gears, camshafts, and piston rings. Unlike the original Offy, which did not have a separate head, the miniature version is made in two parts because of the difficulty in machining the valve seats in such a confined space.
