The Schroeder display of multi-cylinder Cox engines was designed and built by Roger Schroeder. Mr. Schroeder was well known for his innovative multi-cylinder engines that utilized Cox .020 and .049 engine parts. Typically, his single piece crankshafts were constructed from several pieces fused together. Then he modified the connecting rod by cutting a slit in the end so the rod could be snapped onto the crankshaft journals. Once the crankshaft was assembled inside the crankcase, he snapped the rods onto the journals and then screwed the cylinders on. Roger wrote many articles for Tim and Betty Dannels’ Engine Collectors Journal, and Robert and Frances Washburn’s Strictly IC magazine. The 4-engine display is 4”-long, 7”-wide, 8.5”-high, and weighs 1 lb. 10 oz.
