Built by Ellsworth Orr
The actual Twin B fishing boat was built in 1978 by the Sea Way Boat Company in Long Beach, California for Wallace “Bud” Brown & Wilson “Bogie” Bogan. The Twin B was used for both sport fishing and commercial fishing for local fish markets in the Oceanside, California area for almost 40 years.
Over the years Ellsworth had built a great friendship with the boat owners. Being many years his senior, Bud and Bogie became more than just friends but mentors that he learned to look up to. Wanting to honor them, Ellsworth decided to build a model of their boat, taking great pains to take precise measurements of the boat’s hull in order to replicate the exact shape of the 12th scale model.
