An RC model of Gondola is now on display at MECM. Gondola is a historic steam-driven river boat that was originally built in 1859. After being retired in 1936, it was brought back to life thanks to the efforts of the National Trust. After extensive restoration, it was relaunched in 1980 with a new hull and machinery while parts of the original frame and fittings were preserved.
Craftsman Jim Fish took on the challenge of creating this incredible scratch-built model— his very first— after a ride on Gondola during a vacation in England.
