This wooden toy model semi-truck tractor with flatbed trailer was built by George C. Russell. Mr. Russell worked for Roger Penske’s racing organization. In his spare time, he enjoyed making toys from wood for his children. After they grew up and no longer had any interest in them, he sold the toys to a fellow worker, John McGinley, who donated them to our museum.

Included is this 18-wheel semi tractor rig and flatbed trailer, which is a few feet long. Mr. Russell’s wooden toy models are sturdy and nicely finished. A US quarter is shown in the photo for scale reference.
