Wilesco is a manufacturer in Germany that has made steam engines and steam machine shops for many years. This particular model steam engine is missing its copper brick chimney, but is otherwise complete and original. A small burner underneath the boiler heats the water to make steam, which powers the single-cylinder horizontal steam engine. A pulley can be used as a power takeoff to drive a belt to run separately mounted machine tools–as would have been done in an old steam-era factory. The boiler also has a small steam whistle on top.
