This Stuart 10V vertical steam engine is from the line of Stuart Models casting kits available out of England. The engine was built in the 1960s by Craig Libuse’s grandfather, Donald Barnes, and was left to Craig after his grandfather’s passing. It remains a treasured possession because of the connection to Mr. Barnes.
Stuart has been around for a long time (established 1898) and makes a quality set of castings. As an alternative, certain kits like this one can be purchased as raw castings, pre-machined, or completely machined and assembled.
