This is a No. 92 steel rabbet plane made by Stanley. Rabbet planes are used for cleaning rabbets (grooves), tenons, and other joinery details in woodworking. Polished nickel plating keeps the body looking nice and corrosion free. It is 5-1/2”-long and has a 3/4”-wide iron that adjusts with a screw mechanism. The top can be removed to reconfigure it as a chisel plane with the blade in front.
