This scale model SS Elizabeth sailing ship was built by Karl Pohlmann, a former sailor from Mission Park. This masterful piece of artwork is actually a replica of a sailing ship that Mr. Pohlmann trained on as a young man. Every minute detail is an exact duplicate of the SS Elizabeth, a three-masted square-rigger merchant marine training ship. With few exceptions, every piece was handmade by Karl. It took him three months to complete the beautiful model ship.
