This model 2-cycle, 2-cylinder engine was designed and built by Ron Schindele, of AZ, in 2013. After restoring a Maytag Model 72 washing machine engine Mr. Schindele was impressed with the hollow crankshaft rotary intake and decided to design his own engine using the same principal. This double throw alternate firing twin sports a belt-driven cooling system similar to the Corvair engines from the 1960s. It bums gasoline on spark ignition and the high compression at combustion puts out a rather impressive report from the small diameter exhaust pipes.
