The “Cube” 4-cycle model engine was designed and built by Ron Schindele, of AZ. The engine is appropriately named the Cube because it is a 1 x 1 bore and stroke and, simply, a square design. It is water-cooled with a belt driven water pump and radiator fan, and it bums gasoline on spark ignition. The cam is belt driven in the back with the timer assembly easily accessible in the front. Ron placed a clear window in the rocker box so the rockers arms can be viewed in action. He machined the entire engine from aluminum and steel bar-stock, and says it is the first engine of his own design. It was completed and first run in 2003.
