The Pegasus R9-2800 radial aircraft engine was made by Authentic Scale, of the US, in 2014. This 1/5-scale engine measures about 11 inches in diameter and resembles the front half of a Pratt & Whitney R2800 Double Wasp radial engine. With the two sets of ignition wires it would closely simulate the R2800 once the engine is installed inside a cowl. It has a bore of 1.14-inch and a stroke of 1.26-inch for a total displacement of 11.6 cubic inches. The engine has no internal lubrication so oil must be mixed with the gasoline; internal parts rely on blow-by lubrication.  The engine weighs 13 pounds and is reported to produce 15 horsepower.
