This Ohlsson .23 powered model “Pacemaker,” built by Joe Bridi, is a reproduction of Irv Ohlsson’s famous Pacemaker design of the 1930s. Though covered in a more modern Monokote material, the shape and structure remain faithful to Irv’s record-setting design that won the 1937 California free fight championship. Irv often flew a plane like this one from Lake Elsinore using floats in place of the landing gear. The model Pacemaker has a 69” wingspan and was painted yellow with red trim.
