This mock-up Revell model kit (box art only) for Ron Bement’s ’32 Ford hot rod was designed and fabricated by Craig Augustin, of Colorado, in 2007. Ron Bement is known for his scale models of the Ardun, Offy, and 4-port Riley racing engines. He is a hot-rodder at heart, and in the early 1980s he designed and built his own 32 Deuce with many innovations and inventions—such as the thru-the-frame brake line fittings. Craig Augustin, famous hot rod artist and good friend, envisioned Ron’s 32 Deuce as the ideal subject for young modelers to build from a kit. So, in 2007 he designed, fabricated, and presented to Ron his concept of the model maker’s box for Ron’s Deuce.
