It appears that this tiny hit-n-miss engine was being built by Mr. Duclos in an attempt to scale down even further from a previously built hit-n-miss. Unfortunately, this engine was not completed before his passing. The two miniature hit-n-miss engines were found by Phil’s neighbor, Jon N. Harting during an inventory of Mr. Duclos’ shop, and were returned to the family for donation to the museum.
