A McCoy Duro Glo .049 Diesel model airplane engine with a 7” plastic prop. The McCoy Diesels were sold under the banner of McCoy Products Co. of Culver City, CA starting in 1953. McCoy Diesels were not identified as products of the Duro-matic Products Company, which had manufactured previous McCoy-designed engines. This was one of the first engines to bear his name, although he was still working for H.W. Loud Machine Works at the time, and wasn’t able to manufacture large numbers of the engine himself.
