This display portrays a brief history of Lud Kading’s .020 Infant, .035 Torpedo Jr., and his .049 Torpedo engine designs that were produced by K&B Manufacturing. Included are Mr. Kading’s original .020 concept engine, six Infant prototypes, and examples of the first, second, and last production run of the Infant engines. Also shown is the first and second run of the .035 Torpedo Jr. as well as a run of “special” .035’s for Premium Manufacturing. The display would not be complete without the .049 Torpedo engine that was in production from 1950 to 1954.

Lud machined three cut-away engines, and due to the intense popularity of his designs, several model builders fabricated and sold reproductions of his famous engines in later years.
