This reversing horizontal steam engine was built by Les Cade using Sherline miniature machine tools. It features a 2″ diameter solid steel flywheel. It turned out to be such a good running engine that Les built a larger version of it by scaling up the plans. This illustrates that dimensions on plans can be scaled to suit the space or equipment you have in your shop or your budget for raw materials.
