This Gipsy Major MK I was a designed and built by Reinhold Krieger, of Germany, in 2002. The 1/3 scale inverted inline 4-cylinder Gipsy Major has a 1.3-inch bore and a 1.6-inch stroke for a total displacement of 8.5 cubic inches. It sports dual electronic ignition with mechanically coupled ignition timing, a geared fuel pump, geared oil pump and a butterfly type carburetor. It spins its 26 x 16 propeller clockwise (viewed from the front) from 900 to 4,000 RPM. The full-size de Havilland Gipsy Major Mk I powered the DH82 Tiger Moth biplane. This model engine is 14”-long, 8”-wide, and 10”-high.
