Ron designed and built this entire engine from scratch and finished it in 2015. It was machined from aluminum bar and round stock, and measures 8-inches long (including fan and flywheel), 4.25-inches wide, 5-inches high, and weighs 10 pounds on the base. The billet steel crankshaft sports 5 main bearings with oil seals at each end. The oil pump is located on the back of the crankcase and the front mounted distributor bears resemblance to the old Ford 9N tractor engines. Ron also designed and built the carburetor, which is fully adjustable, to run the engine on propane.
