This landing gear was machined for a large “stand-off” scale model of the P-61 Black Widow night fighter. Stand-off scale is for flying flying models that exhibit a level of scale detail that is intended to be judged from a distance of 15 feet–rather than up close. The intended model had a wingspan of 120″ but was never completed. The builder is unknown, but the landing gear was made from aluminum with rubber tires.
