This Atwood .051 model boat engine is a rare twin-cylinder gas powered outboard with large, polished front gas tank. Bill Atwood designed his first engine in 1932 and was inducted into the AMA Hall of Fame in 1982. The model engine is on loan from Daniel “Buzz” Brunkow.

Mr. Brunkow has a large engine collection and is also a builder of engines and fine wooden models. Several unusual pieces from his collection are currently on display at the Craftsmanship Museum in Carlsbad, CA. Mr. Brunkow has also contributed a model wooden Cushman scooter and Chris-Craft Cobra for display.
