Allegheny Plans
Lima Locomotive Works provided 100 pages of plans for the original engine. However, many more drawings had to be made to cover all the details on the engine. Balmer took several trips to the Ford Museum in Michigan to measure and photograph a full-size Allegheny—providing the necessary details.
