1/72 Scale B-24 Liberator
Suspended above a glass mirror, the underside details can be seen in the reflection. Note how the model seems to be suspended in mid-air.

1/72 Scale Lancaster Components
Gun turret details before installation. Notice the tiny cartridge belts.
1/72 Scale Lancaster Fuselage
The left and right halves of the fuselage show hundreds of custom made parts, from parachutes to crew stations. This shot illustrates why it took Andrzej over two years to complete this portion of the model.
1/72 Scale Lancaster
Every hydraulic line fitting from the real aircraft was duplicated. Making models at this level requires not only skill and patience, but also a tremendous amount of research to get the details right.
1/72 Scale Russian Mil Mi-6 Helicopter
In 2014, this model won the Best of Show award in the Monza, Italy contest, and also won the Gold Prize in the Osaka, Japan model competition. It was the first time the top award went to a non-Japanese competitor in the Osaka event.
1/72 Scale Mi-6 Helicopter Construction
First, the model’s fuselage was measured and marked so the “skin” could be removed. This reveals the basic support structure.
1/72 Scale Mi-6 Helicopter Construction
More detail was added to the rear fuselage and tail structure of this massive Russian helicopter.
1/72 Scale Mi-6 Helicopter Construction
Looking at the unfinished rear fuselage, a matchstick provides scale reference for the small model. Notice the level of detail in the custom built auxiliary equipment and other accessories.
1/72 Scale Mi-6 Helicopter
A high angle view shows the diorama base under construction. Expansion joints in the “concrete” base look quite realistic.

Andrzej put together these last two collages to show many more details from the Mi-6 build.
