This Schindele custom four-stroke engine was made by Ron Schindele, of AZ, in 2017. The engine was originally designed to have an external combustion chamber, but Ron was not pleased with its operation or performance. He converted it to a valve-in-head with a mechanical exhaust valve, and an atmospheric intake valve similar to most hit n’ miss engines. Additionally, he added a small 12V generator between the fuel tank and flywheel to power an electric cooling fan for the cylinder. The engine has a bore of .687″, a stroke of 1″, and it burns gasoline vapor for fuel.
