Commercially available cylinders, possibly from a motorcycle, were used to produce this aircraft engine in Germany. The Tilloston carburetor is designed for gasoline, but the spark plug holes were adapted for model engine glow plugs, indicative of a methanol burning engine. The crankcase appears to be cast from aluminum, but quite possibly was machined from billet material. The engine was built in Germany in 1985, but the designer and builder are unknown. It’s 15″-long, 16″-wide, and 22″-high.
