This is an all-aluminum bar stock engine with a bore of 19 mm, stroke of 19.2 mm and a total displacement of 27.21 cc. The engine was designed and built by Barry Robinson in England in 1998. The cylinders are lined with chrome plated brass liners and the pistons incorporate compression rings. it measures about 7″ in diameter and burns methanol on glow ignition. Barry constructed three of these 5-cylinder radials as well as a few 9-cylinder radials and two-cylinder opposed engines. many of the components such as the piston and cylinder assemblies are common to all of his engines. The engine is 7″-long, 10″-wide, and 10″-high.
