Docents / Hosts
Museum volunteers act as hosts and docents, greeting guests as they arrive, showing them around the display area, and explaining exhibits

You don't need to be a machinist or engineer. Regardless of background, volunteers find the subject matter at the museum inspiring and sharing with visitors stimulating and rewarding.

Machinists, Skilled Craftsmen
The machine shop is manned by our master machinist but we invite others to help with our ongoing projects on a volunteer basis. Projects built in the museum shop become part of the museum display or are made available to museum guests for a donation.

If you enjoy being around fellow machinists, model makers, and craftsmen, the museum machine shop is a great place to hang out.
