New Arrival—Donald Riley’s Circus Theater Music Box (In Process)

by | Aug 25, 2023 | What's New

This music box is nearly complete, but Donald wanted to display it temporarily so viewers could see the inner workings.

Now on temporary display is one of Donald Riley’s most recent projects, the “Circus Theater” music box. This music box is not yet finished, but Mr. Riley wanted to bring the project in so that viewers could see more of the inner workings of the entertaining machine. With the bottom section open, visitors can appreciate the collection of gears and mechanisms that drive the captivating movements above. With several of Mr. Riley’s finished music boxes already on display, the partially competed Circus Theater allows viewers to get a deeper sense of the construction process, too. The unfinished Circus Theater music box will be on display at the Miniature Engineering Craftsmanship Museum for one month before Donald resumes construction.
