This FINNEY custom designed hit n’ miss engine was made by Phil Finney, of Illinois, in 1992. Phil designed, drew, fabricated, and machined the entire engine from steel bar stock using a 9-inch lathe. This massive 71-pound engine measures 18″-long, 12-1/2″-wide, and 12″-high. It burns propane for fuel and spins a pair of heavy 1-1/4″ X 9″ flywheels.
